About SGR

The Office of State Governmental Relations (SGR) supports the University's mission and goals by:

  • Representing the University's position on state governmental issues to state officials

  • Serving as a liaison between the University and state officials/agencies

  • Monitoring and tracking legislative and state issues affecting the University and higher education

  • Advancing the University’s legislative, operating, and capital priorities

  • Communicating information to University officials and the community on significant state and legislative matters

  • Educating the University community about state relations
